Hello all,
I used to collect old radios when I was much younger and single. (Had more money) and missed it. I decided to buy a few that are restored but also purchased a GE 115 with a hum, and a RCA Filteramic becasue it loks cool and it worked. The RCA needs a knob .Anyone have one? Also, I want to learn the fine art of repairing the electronics. Where is a good place to start? thanks

Welcome Superzee. To begin learning, I'd recommend Old Time Radios! Restoration and Repair, by Joseph Carr. You can order a used but in good condition copy from Amazon for under 9 bucks. You can't beat that deal with a stick.

Welcome, I just got a filteramic Model X4JE. My daily driver now, really nice sound, and there is the phono input. All the original tubes, too :D

Anyway, it seems like the volume knobs on the model are fragile.all the others I have seen on ebay have cracks or chips. Several members here sell knobs, when you get to that point, place an ad in the classifieds.
