Does anyone have this Zenith Console Radio/Phonograph, Model 9-S-264 or ever seen one? I just bought one the other day. Looks just like the Model 9-S-264, but is close to 42 inches tall. The turntable is located above the radio dial and the complete top of cabinet raises up to reveal the player. Any information on the Zenith will be greatly appreciated.
Hi Paul, Thanks for your fast reply to my question on the 1938 Zenith Console Radio/turntable. I't looks nothing like the model 9-S-204. It looks just like the Model 9-S-264, except the cabinet is a good 9 inches taller with the turntable under the top lid. Thanks again for your reply!
After taking a better look at the cabinet. The 9 inch addition on the cabinet is not original to the Zenith Console 9-S-264. Who ever did it, sure did a good job. Fooled me for a while ha ha! After all said and do, now I see why no information was available. I plan to restore the cabinet back to it's original form, without the VM record player that was in it. Sorry to all for my big misunderstanding of the Nice 1938 Zenith Console RADIO 9-S-264. Electrolytic
