Welp, time again to dive head first into the hell that is dial restringing, and worst of all it's a Grundig. Got a Grundig 3041 ( not the American version) from a swap meet and it was in really horrible shape. Speaker wires were held together by a ceramic terminal and the power cord was cut off despite it being in good shape (Grundig plugs always looked fishy) and the cord that's left wasn't brittle or falling apart. Spent a couple hours going through it and restoring the original finish (what was left of it) Domestic Grundigs are a rare sight in the US, most common ones here are the Grundig Majestics, so I had to jump on it

Anyways to get to the point, can someone directly link me to a dial cord diagram for this model, also can I use normal dial cord for this? I know it would have wire as one part and nylon as the other, can I use normal dial cord for this, and if not does anybody reproduce the Grundig dial cords? Radiodaze doesn't have the wire and nylon

Amen to that!!!! My first dial cord change on a Zenith was painful enough, I think it'll be easy, its a pretty simple dial set up, but it never turns out to be as easy as you previously think...... wish me luck.

It will be the proverbial "piece of cake" if you have the stringing diagram. But you MUST remove the
dial glass.

If you really want an exercise in frustration, try to re-string a Saba Meersburg or Freiburg.
