5 knobs, 6 legs, 8-sided escutcheon, 1934/5 approx., should be easy to ID, no?

The 6-leg Montcalm, which is a 6-tuber, has different 5 knobs and looks newer.
Several Rogers have the 8-sided dial.

And some other Rogers dials are 10-sided. :x

I would say with that knob lay out (center knob slightly higher) I would guess a 1933 to 1935 RCA

I also vote RCA. Chassis is probably like the 224:

The wrap-around stretcher base kind of suggests RCA to me, as well, like the 242.

Looks similar to that of a Canadian Westinghouse. https://www.radiomuseum.org/r/westingca_84.html

RCA would have been my first guess.

This looks like an updated version, seen at SPARC the Society for the Preservation of Antique Radio in Canada's vintage radio museum, Coquitlam, BC.

CGE ,RCA and Westinghouse the're all related so they would have similar cabinets..I'd lean towards a Canadian Westinghouse since they all seem to have that Westinghouse tag below the center knob

I have a strong hunch that's a Canadian Westinghouse 165Y with just a slight chance that it maybe a B285X...Time will tell 8)

We're pretty sure you nailed it as far as the make, Ken. But we need confirmation of the model before you can claim the prize.

Ken is the ''WINNER'' , although the exact model is 165.. I did buy the radio , but I can't find the schematic for it.
I did not look through my RCC books yet.
It is only a five tube radio, but I like the looks of the cabinet.
Here are some photos

165Y, he said. I think the Y is a cabinet style?
That is a beauty, and we know you will take care of it with TLC.
Is it missing a middle bar between the legs? I actually like it open like that. And it is in lovely condition overall.

It might turn out to be 6 tubes. 8)

Westcoastjohn:
Thank you for the link to the schematics. I did forget to look at the cross reference with RCA.
