I found this radio online. I was just wondering, is that the correct model number, or no? I had some trouble finding info on a "360". I think this is a beautiful radio. What would you price it at? It's a 90 mile drive from here, that's the thing. But closer than a few I've found. And I really like these Philco consoles.

Here's the ad, what do you think?

Looks like it needs some work but not too bad. Does it look to be missing anything?

Thanks in advance.

Someone got the numbers mixed up. Looks like a 37-630. $100 seems a tad too high, IMO. Looks like the cabinet needs refinishing. $60-$70 is more like it, but it also depends on what's in the "box of tubes"! It's hard to tell by those pictures if everything is there in the radio...but I see that the knobs, speaker and chassis are all there.

Here's what a nice 37-630 looks like:

Thanks for the input John. I wish this radio were closer to me. I really like it. I'm sure the guy would negotiate the price, but with gas headed to $5/gallon I'm not so sure it would be worth it. Unless He'll knock the price down to $40-50

Nice radio Tlc. The one I found I believe has a shadow meter, does yours?

Yes to the shadowmeter picker.

I looked in my Philco book and it looks like the one you're looking at is a 630X.
Unless the competition beats you to the radio you may be able to talk him down to $60 or so.

after looking in the book it appears mine is a '36 model.

Factoring in the 180 mile round trip, I would prefer $30 but may consider up to $40. It will obviously require repairs since "it wants to work" is in the description. You will probably use in the neighborhood of 7-9 gallons of gas and the better part of 4 hours to retrieve it. If you gotta-gotta-have-it, then time and money aren't the critical considerations. The bottom line is, what is it worth to you?

Oops, didn't notice the drive distance...

I met a seller half way one time, he was ok with it. An exception to the norm.
Ya never know.
