If you're from the Minneapolis/St. Paul area you may remember this place. God, it was the best place to go meet the radio buds on Saturday mornings - BYOC (bring your own coffee) :) Recognize any of that stuff?!! How many of you folks have/had something similar?

Fascinating - - though I'm a bit dizzy from the camera work.

Interesting to see what appeared to be a Harris (brand) commercial broadcast transmitter meter panel at 1:32.

What is Paul doing now that he closed up shop ?

This was a DIY home brewer mecca. There was NO part related to vacuum tube circuits you could not find here.
It was always a thrill to see what he purchased at estate sales that week that were in his store that weekend.
Always fun to see the quality boat anchors show up. Once saw a pair or untouched R390a's on the shelf.

Yes, sad to see places like that go. When I was young the place for radio folks to hang out on Saturday was SURPLUS AL'S in Plymouth, PA. Most of the stuff was WWII surplus, but Al had a lot of amateur radio gear as well. There were many such stores in the area back then. All are now long gone. :(

Wow! What a treasure trove! Some of the those large variable caps had me drooling!

I missed out on this place? How long has it been gone?
I hate not having a local place to go for parts other than the Ax-Man, which is a crapshoot and a half.

He sold the building spring of 2010.
It was located on Prior avenue about a block north of the Menards on University Avenue. Not far from Ax-Man.
