I have a Zenith model 7s582 which is supposed to have a 7a04 chassis (I believe). This radio was being kept in an old family farmhouse, and when we went to remove the contents of the house, someone had broken into the home. One of the few things taken was the "guts" from this radio. There is almost nothing left, other than a beautiful console (& turntable). Since I know absolutely NOTHING about radio restoration, I am wondering, is it possible to buy a whole new chassis? I would be fine with a reproduction even if needed. I have looked briefly and don't see where the entire chassis is sold, only parts. Help!

I'm sure that someone who posts on this board will have one for sale. Perhaps someone will be able to offer a restored and working chassis.

I MAY have one, salvaged from a toasted console, but I'm a couple hundred miles away form home, and wouldn't want to commit, for I cannot recall whether there was anyn damage to the chassis, but I'll check the next time I go home, unless another forum member comes up with one first.

Are you prepared to spend a couple hundred for parts, speaker, knobs, hardware, glass, escutchen, chassis and maybe tubes??? And then do at least a partial restore??
