So recently i acquired a lot of old radios. I found one that info proves to be hard to find on... on the inside it says "Franklin Co, Chicago" But no other info found. It is in great shape, and works. Any ideas on a value or if its rare?

Probably 1925, similar to many sets on the market at that time. There was a large profit margin on radios. A lot of individuals and radio shops jumped in, and were just as quickly gone when sales dropped a year later. Rarity doesn't necessarily translate to value for most of the unknown brands.

Sorry if my quote seemed offensive , but at many auctions these three dialer types are lucking to break the 50.00 mark .

Unless , two know nothing eBay sellers get it in there heads they see gold .

Then you will see them for listed sale for months on end , without takers .

I could not find it in Douglas, "Radio Manufacturers of the 1920's", Vol 1 or 2.
Cheers,
Roger

I only included makers that were in business for several years or more, and ones I had information about.

The ebay example looks 1926-ish but the photos aren't clear enough to identify it further.

Hi, Alan, thanks.
I'm looking for your Volume 3! Who has one?
Cheers,
Roger

Antique Radio Classified, Amazon, any of the usual suspects (it's still in print).

I would look for the hard copy version of Alan's books they are worth the extra money. The books are such a valuable resource I completely wore out my soft cover versions. Covers off - backs broke - dog eared etc....

Thanks, Alan, I'll be looking for it at this week's AWA book fair.
Cheers,
Roger
