this/your radio and its complement of tubes is listed at radiomuseum.org with a brief description of Conrad Walser's store by Ernst...

Does anyone have Zenith service material, sales brochure, or anything put out by the company on your export Zenith's ? As I've mentioned several times since writing the ARC article 10 years ago, not a shred of information is to be found on my 6Y61B.
The only company mention I have found is an interesting sentence in the 1955 Zenith annual report which reads; "A number of important foreign markets remain closed to Zenith merchandise due the operation of a World wide cartel controlling patents and foreign trade in radio. " - This just makes me all the more curious about export Zenith's !

I got time to pull the chassis out of this European Zenith this afternoon and will attempt to post a few pictures as requested. I purchased the radio on Swiss Ebay on 07/04/2004. At that time it was advertised as playing "einwandfrei" (problem Free). I powered it up this evening, after 14 years of non-use it still plays, but not Einwandfrei. Some Hum and some squealing. But still impressive for it's age and years of never seeing a wall outlet.
