Post subject:  Italian Communications Network ICN receiver questions

I have just purchased an ICN receiver off of EBAY. This receiver received 1 frequency only. It was built for the Italian Communities in the Northeast USA. The broadcast station was the Italian language only. The seller of the radio did not know much about the radio. It has an on/off knob and a tone knob only. I believe that you could add a 140 PF air variable capacitor and a homemade coil to make a 1 band SW receiver out of it. Or: does anyone think that it is a collectors item? The radio was in use in 1985, but on the closet shelf ever since.........Goober

That`s it. It cost me 20 bucks, shipping included, so I wasted a twenty on buying it!

...but I would imagine you could get inside and retune to maybe your local 'oldies' station - if you have one... :(

Wow a BC set made to only receive one channel. Shades of the past. Well I have a little mini transistor set made to only pick up Bloomberg on AM in NYC. Obviously pretty useless here.
