This one was an accident.
I was cleaning the dial face of my EICO VTVM and used a green scrubber on it , figuring I would polish it out with some fine grade wet/dry sandpaper later. Of course it made the plastic look cloudy from the fine scratches.
I had the unit at work and I was a little bored so I took a piece of paper towel and put a very small amount of acetone on it. I then quickly rubbed out the plastic dial face with the acetone damp towel using continuous motion and pressure-- and it eneded up putting a very nice polish on it!
It was also very clean
I finished off with Novus #3, #2 and #1 for a crystal clear resotration.
Anyone willing to confirm this on something they can spare if it backfires? I'm going to play around with it and report back.
