It will be interesting to follow this one and see what it sells for. I believe it's the "shiny" that sells, not the red.

Dupli-Color, Ford medium red and solid, polished and coated brass.

Those repainted radios look great and since they are quality jobs they are worth the money to an affluent purchaser. I'm sure these aren't going to serious collectors but to hot rod and custom cars fans and the " mid century" lifestylers. Have you seen the going rates for restored "cracked ice" formica dinettes? Like PB says you have to follow the market to make a buck. My wife is into doing up "shabby chic" furniture which is almost always painted chalk white. I have cringed to see some beautiful wood grain go under the brush but it sure does sell. When she left the stuff it original finish, no takers. Painted white- out the door. I just steer her away from any waterfall furniture. Honestly though, everything she does comes from flea markets and thrift stores and was headed to the shredder if she didn't save it.
