If sitting in a chair for three hours is fun for you! AuctionZip showed a Philco 37-116, so I had to check it out. This is a rural auction house about an hour away from me. The Philco and the 2 other radios have left bids from the same person  . The first radio is a common Philco tombstone that I'm underbidder at $30. Next is a, IMO, common brown bakelite Bendix radio. It sells for $300  . What did I miss? And finally my 116 sells to me for $160. I was only bidding against the left bid. It doesn't need refinishing, so I'm stoked. I've already read some conflicting old posts about the restoration difficulty. The only other noteworthy item was an old Panoramic tube guitar amp that shot up to $350 between 2 bidders. I overheard the underbidder saying that it was worth a lot more. So you've just heard the highlights of that whole auction, everything else was $2 lots that went begging. Tough way to make money.

Congratulations! :D

I think you will enjoy the performance of that Philco!

btw, which version is it? With or without the automatic "tele dial" tuning?

Actually, the one with the normal dial tuning is less common, and in my opinion, the preferred version. :D
Though, the "Magnetic Tuning" (AFC) feature becomes moot.

here is mine. I was very happy to find it!

Mine looks that nice! The chassis is a filthy nicotine coated mess that should be a nice, long project.

You got the good one. I've had several of both auto and manual and much prefer the manuals. I never did like the auto tuning on any of the Philcos.
