I wonder if the bidders realized this radio is not a D7000Y?

I watched this radio for a few days and was tempted to tell the seller his radio was mislabled, but decided to mind my own business. His starting bid was $199 which I though was about $50 more than the radio was worth. Glad I didn't say anything.

Caveat Emptor!

If the buyer couldn't read the all to obvious label in the photo, he/she deserves what they get IMHO. But, the fact that it's mis-represented, according to Ebay rules it's returnable for a full refund including shipping IF the buyer figures it out.

It's not obvious to me, what actual model is the radio?
From pics, the inside battery cover says Royal 7000-1.

I'm not familiar with these Zenith radios - just trying to learn

Gregory

The easiest clue is the inside of the front cover where the compass is should be black on an RD7000Y. The model number would say RD7000Y, not 7000-1. Main difference performance wise is the RD7000Y has a tunable weather band.

The 7000-1 is a perfectly good radio, but lacks the tunable weather band. They usually don't bring as much as the D7000Y, but they are still not cheap.
