Based on the bidding history, looks like 2 inexperienced bidders got into a bidding war.

Well it kinda looks like that but you never know.
could be the guy (and a friend or two) shilled himself out of a legitimate sale
or two buyers just wanted it really really badly

I had the exact same model in a green case,
sold it on eBay for 145.00 plus shipping

yes, I was surprised. I thought it may bring 50 to 75 bucks
