Looks like an antenna substitute,
as it's hooked up to the antenna lug.

Yeah, that's a big bummer. Sometimes they end up somewhere in the space between the chassis and cabinet. Those are pretty much unobtainium, but Ken Richmond sells duplicates made from resin. Also, it's not clear whether the "Z" plastic screen for the shadow meter is there.

Hopefully the pointer is in the cabinet. If it's missing that'd be a big stopper for me. I saw Kenny's Z pointers up on the bay, but not recently.

Looking at the back side, it appears that the shadow meter is hanging down from where it should be. The light on the back of the meter appears to be a few inches below its proper location.
So that is in unknown condition.

I am concerned about the brown spray paint used on the grille, and the light strips down both sides of the front. Is there veneer separation going on? Just can't say with the pictures.

It is close enough to me that it may be worth a look,
What would a reasonable offer be?

Peter, my take on the value of this radio is that it is already overpriced. It has cabinet issues and chassis issues. One bidder has dropped out already.

Now both bidders have bailed out.

I just heard from seller.

Shadow Meter not There. GONE
Says dial Glass is the original. Looks too bright to be original I think. Version 2, I believe it is.
Only work he did he says is replace 2 wires on ther tuner ?
asked for his Phone # . to discuss Radio, he did not disclose it.

Have feeling he is hiding more .

Just noticed Large Speaker cone is shot.

This guy is hiding too much for me to Bid on it.

No pictures of chassis under . $800 radio auction should show the whole Radio. With an Honest description to boot.

It's looking like kind of an overpriced parter.
