I responded to a CL listing that included a Grunow console. I asked her the model, she said 589. I asked her how much, she said, "I don't know. I'll have to do some checking and call you back."

I would say "Well I have a line on another in good condition for $50 (or whatever you think is a fair price), that I can get today but I wanted to check out yours first". Either she'll bite or thinks it's worth a lot more than that. Denver is big enough to be able to get away with that. While you don't see them everyday, they are not super uncommon.
