I was troubleshooting an early TV that kept blowing this electrolytic cap, something like a 1000mfd/35 volt. I decided the best course of action, to get by this stumbling block, was to pull out one of the giganto-caps that a ham friend gave me, a Sangamo nearly the size of a Coke can, 1000mfd at a few hundred volts. Take that, Buster! Yep, it worked, then I found the root of the problem and the "coke can" went back into storage.

This is what happens, when you go into radioshack and ask for a Capacitor :lol:

Don't I WISH they sold motor capacitors! :shock: It would save those long drives to the farm supply store several towns over...
