I have one of those, it is actually model 61. I don't know why Majestic did that but the model 60 chassis was used in a few models such as 61 and 62.

I paid a hectobuck for mine, which is much more reasonable.

The chassis is two chassis clamshelled together. the radio is on top and the power supply upside down underneath. you can see the 80 rectifier peeking through the hole in the upper radio chassis.
It weighs a TON! get a second strong back to help move it!

It is one of the higher end early radios. Model 60 & 61 says 9 tube radio. An early 175 Khz IF superhet design. Perhaps the seller can't count tubes? If you like the cabinet design... then OK. Radio needs all the usual work done to it and probably a total rewire of the rubber insulated wiring. It does have a nice looking pair of Globe 45 tubes in there that are worth some bucks if they are in good condition. But think that the seller is really looking for a tuna. Way overpriced in my opinion. Maybe not quite by one whole decimal point but for sure at least double what its worth in today's market. Be sure your wearing your Truss when you go to pick it up.
