First time I've seen a book radio. Can anyone provide info on manufacturer and approximate year?

It doesn't have exactly the same grill pattern or name on the spine, but those might have been details that varied by brand, if it was private-labeled for different retailers.

In any case, the one on eBay has miniature tubes, and the output tube looks like "3S4" stamped on the chassis metal. So '46-'52 is a good guess of the timeframe. If you blow up the 5th photo, you can see the battery clips for the 2 D-cell batteries, about where the red arrow is pointing at the camera.

It's definitely a '50s novelty set, probably from around the same time as sets like the Country Belle, Town Crier, and Spice Rack. Not sure who made it though.
