I have one of those but the veneer on the arch is missing as are the knobs.

I remember this exact radio from a July 2015 Stanton Auction (I saved pictures of it):

https://www.liveauctioneers.com/item/39 ... astic-case

Looks like it only sold for $150 back then..... if I had suspected that it'd sell that low I would have placed a bid. Several years ago an empty cabinet sold on eBay but the arch veneer was new and at the time I wasn't sure if it was the correct veneer or grain pattern.... now I know that it was.

Over the years I only know of about 4 that exist, but I'm sure there are a few more in the bushes somewhere.

I passed on one of these Grebe cathedrals here in Virginia several years ago. At the time, I had a similar Fada tombstone (here is a picture of one, but not mine: viewtopic.php?f=11&t=314780 ). I ended up selling it.

Just curious, what's the model number? TRF? Het? All I can see is an 80, possibly 45, 27?, and thermal resistor.

I believe that it is a Model M1 - 7 tube (35, 24, 27, 35, 24, 47, & 80) superhet.

A very unique cathedral radio. Not just your typical Philco! :D I like that it's Grebe too. Never had one of their sets.

I noticed that it didn't appear broken in the 2015 auction pictures. Probably happened when they shipped it without removing the speaker and chassis. I hate seeing these big cathedrals getting busted up from shipping :(

I am presently working on this chassis.

Can anyone tell me the following:

1. What should be the resistance of the voltage regulator on the primary side of the power transformer?

2. I have attached a photograph of the chassis bottom. What is the part that is circled in red?

Thank you for any assistance.
