Since there seems to be a mixed bag on whether or not people like to use PayPal.
I'll setup a simple Poll..... either you use PayPal or you don't.
Try not to get into any Flaming or attacks.........it would just be interesting to see what percentage of our forum members use this service or not.
I choose to not use it myself because of issues I've had with them in the past.

I've been using it for a couple of years now. No problems (yet).

Been using them since they were the x.com "bank" out of Pittsburgh, PA. No problems other than keeping up with all the rule changes.

We do use pay pal, but I much prefer almost any other method of payment. Google checkout only takes 2% of the transaction while pay pal takes 5%, even American Express takes a smaller cut that pay pal when I process a charge with them.

As a buyer, I love it when the seller accepts PayPal.
With PayPal -
Click, Click, Done. Seller usually ships next day.
Without PayPal -
Click, Click. Go to store and buy a money order. Fill out address info, etc. Get envelope and write down address. Put a stamp on it. Drive to the post office. Seller awaits my money order while it runs its course on the snail mail route. Seller typically ships next day, about five or six days after I sent it.
I have no problem with PayPal.

I buy and sell using PayPal. I got jammed one time, actually two times when I used them so I try to be careful. One time, I waited too long (gave the seller too much time) and never got the item. PayPal said, "Tough Beans". The next loss was a heavy item that was destroyed due to improper (read almost non-existent) packing material. I paid $80 shipping for a $25 item. PayPal waited for 60 days to reply and then wanted me to immediately send it back at my expense and then they would "consider" a possible settlement, minus shipping. El Toro Pooh Pooh if you know what I mean.
Well, that being said, it works. You just have to be smart...

Paypal makes buying and selling a breeze. I'm getting to the point I don't buy from anyone that doesn't take Paypal. It is too much of a hassle to go get money orders, mail them, then wait for them to get to the seller. The last time I did that it took 10 days for my letter to get to Pennsylvania, and I was beginning to think I was going to have to ask my bank to stop payment on the cashiers check. With Paypal, you don't have any of these problems.

I use paypal as both seller and buyer. Have done so for 3 or 4 years now and never a problem. Its just part of doing business, doesn't mean I like it unconditionally though. As a seller, if you don't take PP you just cut your possible buyers by at least half.
I commented in another post here not long ago, that there is no place where you get as much exposure as on epay. THey could sure use some competition, but who would that be?

Problem is, there isn't another good online auction out there. Yahoo had one but they shut it down because a lot of crooks used it to "sell" stuff they didn't even have. I bought a couple of things off the Yahoo site when it was online, but I carefully avoided doing business with anyone with none or negative feedback. I will say one thing about eBay...I've never dealt with anyone using it who was fraudulent in any way.

I use Paypal when I buy or sell on ebay. I will take a PO money order or certified check as paymenr for an item, but when I buy an item I would rather use paypal as it's easier than driving to the post office and standing in line to buy a money order. So far I've been lucky and haven't had a problem with paypal. Harry

I'm a buyer only, but use PayPal almost exclusively... Has to be something I really want before I'll buy something and go through the trouble of getting a MO...
For the sellers crying about the fees, I gaurentee you're loosing more in lost sales than you'll ever gain in avoiding PayPal...

Hi,
Paypal is the best thing to come along since the invention of Pizza.
