What would Ebay going away or not have anything to do with whether I would still collect radios or not? Before Ebay, I bought many of my nicer sets through Antique Radio Classified. The price of the publication and posting classified ads went through the roof though, with fewer classified ads and more commercial ads, so I quit subscribing.
Ebay is quite a vehicle for finding small items, such as radio related paper, advertising, or memorabilia. It would be much tougher to collect that stuff without Ebay.

Folks,
Well, it is time to close this poll, for better or worse.
Thanks to everyone who responded.
It seems some wanted more clarification as to the purpose of the poll. I thought this was obvious. So, here, painfully: The poll was to establish how many folks whose radio collecting hobby was so closely linked to eBay that they would stop collecting if ebay folded.
To repeat myself, I like ebay as a resource, albeit, expensive. I have spent a considerable amount supporting my hobby because of ebay. However, in light of the many frustrating changes to ebay I will moderate my use of it. I will increase my activity in trading radio in other venues that I have previously neglected:
AWA Bulletin
NEARC quarterly newsletter
Antique Radio Classified and our "own"
Antique Radio Forum.
Strangely, I have not used my clubs magazine for its ads. Shame on me,
I still wax nostalgic for the AWA Canadiagua meets at the Sheraton from years past. The concept of a leisure three or four days to meet with friends, haunt the flea market, photograph the contest would get me fired up as to what I want from my collection in the coming year. Sure wish they would return...
Best,
Chas
Charles

I agree with Martin. Ebay has allowed us to buy many of the smaller rare paper items that are very hard to find. These items are fun to collect.
I do miss the days of old were I would spend my weekends making the rounds at area antique and thrift stores; not knowing what might turn up next for a deal. I made the rounds like I use to in the late 1980's and early 1990's and it was very disappoint what was out there in the way of old radios. The good stuff seems to find it's was on to ebay.

David has summed up my feeling. I am into vintage Scott audio. It almost never shows up at a swap meet. And, If I were to sell it, no one would want to pay me for what it's worth. While I don't like the changes to eBay, I will have no choice...
