Hi there,

My next project is this pictured radio I got.

It appears to be a homebrew made radio based on the DeForest 1921 Interpanel MR-6, or 1922 (DeForest) Radio-Craft "radiophone" D-6.

I labelled the components and controls I can figure out.

It appears to be a detector with 2 audio amps. 2 tuned TRF circuit with one LC in antenna circuit, one LC to detector which has regenerative feedback.

Any ID and info help?

Sincerely,
Bill Jensen

Appears you have got it all. The mystery knob, depends whats on the other side, probably a bias pot for the detector. As far as the two pair of binding posts, again what are they connected to?

Homebrews can go through iterations as the builder attempts to improve it, replace a defective component or cannibalize it... Therefore it could have extra holes, stuff installed in the holes just to plug them...

FWIW: Draw the schematic as it is connected. See if there is any serious flaw, check the existing components and power it if you so choose.

IMHO: I don't believe it was built to emulate any particular circuit. Just because it has a few components of the same brand doesn't make it a clone of anything...

YMMV

Chas

Got the radio working, here's the schematic. One wire was on the wrong place.
