I'm getting all the parts together to build a 5 tube stereo amp out of an old GE radio that was beyond reasonable repair. I found this great schematic. http://www.wkinsler.com/radios/5tubeamp.html I have most of the parts except one tube a few higher watt resistors and what is giving me trouble is the stereo pot. I have had trouble locating a 500k dual pot with a long enough shaft at a reasonable price. But I have found 1meg or 250 k pots. Would there be any great difference in using a 1 meg pot? or would a 250k be better?
This is going to be my ipod and computer sound system if that makes any difference.
