Welcome back Larry, wish I had a magic wand to make those pics come back... that was really sad. I use Photobucket for all my pics, costs me like $30 a year but I feel it's worth it to have my own place.

Hi Lou, thank you for the kind words. I still have all the pix on my commo computer, and if I ever can find time to restore the thread, I think I will indeed go the Photobucket way, assuming the pix are safe there. Can they be purged, lost etc. as long as you pay the rent?

Larry

Photobucket is free and as long as you don't delete the pictures they will stay on Photobucket.

I use Photobucket exclusively to post pictures in topics.

Many thanks  . Obviously I should have gone the Photobucket way from the get-go. We live and learn. There's always tomorrow....

Again, Welcome back Larry , I've been lurking enjoying this thread ... and some say ARF is dead . :D

It was very frustrating when we lost so much info , pics , ect. Something like almost ten years worth ! With various server / software changes .... oh well ..... good to see you again :D

OK, you win. Late 60's in college I lucked in to a couple of surplus US Navy Amps, probably from oficer's club. Each one PPP 6L6, a half 6SN7's a couple of 5R4, two OB2, and 4 6SJ7's. Mounted them in a steel #5 contoller cabinet, never shut the door, and the damn thing rocked for 3 years. 16 foot stops were not passed over. I'll save the speakers for another chapter.

Thanks Tom, it's good to be back. I see things haven't changed too awfully much. I hope all you guys are doing well, and meeting success with your various projects.

I'll get back to this one yet!

Step down to the RARSfest over Easter weekend!

 Larry

I found time today to make a list of the pix needed to restore this thread. If I can find them all in the archives, sequence them, and get them loaded out to the bucket, then I can see my way clear to getting the job done....

 Larry

Hey, Larry, just a thought on hosting photos...

If you're in the process of uploading to Photobucket, that's great, and the work you're doing now won't be lost. However, if you're looking a bit down the road with the idea of finding a photo hosting site that will be for the long term, I can highly, highly recommend www.smugmug.com. They're outstanding, superb quality, no ads, unbelievable 24/7 help and support. It's not free, but at $39/yr it's a screaming bargain.

You might want to give them a look.

Many thanks for the tip, Clay . I will certainly look into it. One bitter lesson was enough.

Hope you're doing well and best regards! :D

Thread restoration completed today. It's good to have it out of the way. All pix are back and several posts were tightened up.

All thanks once again to everyone who extended their help and support from the beginning of this project, several years back. It'll be back in the groove again, for I still have ideas I didn't get around to incorporating on the last rebuild  .

Meanwhile, I gotta go out and get a new battery pack for the camera. I let the thing sit in its case for 8 months and now the battery's dead.

Mr. Murphy strikes again!

Finally got around to checking BB out on Sunday after it sat idle since last July.

Yes, last July, for I was involved in other work and simply had no time for BB or anything else electronic.

Glad to get back to that, too. No signs of shelf rot. I only hope I can get back to work on BB soon. There are still things I want to do with the mixer.
