Could anyone give me the tube layout for this set? Or perhaps the schematic? It's in Sams folder 586 number 12, which I don't have. many thanks

Hopefully you have the output tubes. 7591A's are not cheap. Don't have a schematic for you but they are available.
Hopefully a mod will move this to the audio section. You will get more help there.

I think that my S-7000 (AM/FM version) uses 7868s.

Either way a set of output tubes will be costlly, so I'd check out the transformers, etc... before making a lrge commitment on glass.

It is the best sounding tube amp I have ever had, beter than the Fisher I have (also 7868s).
If you choose not to fix it, I would not mind having another.
