I just got back from the Glenn Miller orchestra concert in Glendora California.
it was a sold out event.
It started at 2:00 P.M. sharp, and ran for 2 1/2 hours with a 20 minute intermission.
I can not think of any time I enjoyed more, spending $28.00 for that much entertainment in my life.
I have seen the Eagles live, and many other livre acts over the years, but this had a very special feel and meaning.
They played all of the familiar Miller tunes, and even threw in a couple Tommy Dorsey songs, as Larry O'Brian, the Director, said; "He is a huge Tommy Dorsey fan".

The Band was terrific, and very on with the feel and the sound.
if you ever get the chance, don't miss this very special treat.
Dan
------------------
I know the feeling. A few years back my wife and I got to see Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman and The Duke Ellington orchestras in one night at the Hollywood Bowl. Nothing like Big Bands and a cool summer evening under the stars with the one you love.(The wife than the bands) Something you will never forget.
------------------
Richard

I'm sure that was done tongue in cheek.
I did not say Big band music was my exclusive music.
on our jukebox, I have 6 songs by Hank Williams Sr, 6 songs by Hank Willms jr., 2 by Willie nelson, 2 by Randy Travis, Rod Stewart, Led Zeppellin, The Beatles, The Doors, madonna, Prince, Guy Lombardo, Tommy Dorsey, Benny Goodman, Elvis Presley, Little richard,Lynyrd Skynyrd, Chubby Checker, Poison, Missing Persons, The black Crows, Tom Petty, Jefferson Starship, Def Lepard, and many more, plus we rotate weekly, by the popularity meter, and most are very close, and all get played at least weekly, so we have a varied selection of music.
To me music is music, I enjoy all types.
I think I would go crazy without a variety of music. I love Greenday, And I listen to EminEm. I've been to Billy Joel Concerts, The Eagles, The Monkees, Glenn Miller.
So to say you just like "Willie Nelson", is O.K., But man are you missing alot.
BTW, Willie Nelson, is older than most Big bands.
