I am in the process of adding ID3 tags to each of my soap opera tracks as I clean them for noise & other artifacts for broadcast on my station but am running into a problem with SEVERAL of them.

The first one I've encountered is Betty & Bob. The announcer at the beginning of each track doesn't announce who the sponsor is or what product is sponsoring each episode. Since I think the sponsor would be IDEAL for adding in the ALBUM field for the ID3 tag as opposed to the junk some people put in, I'm using the sponsor for this purpose.

Problem is though I'm missing the sponsor info. on many of the shows. With Betty & Bob, we're talking about the period between June 15th, 1947 & August 12th, 1948 as well as Episode 37 (I have it as a cleaned episode).

The info. I got on OTRFans is ambiguous & vague at best & doesn't give a clear & accurate breakdown as to who sponsored the show during each year of its run.

As I said before, I have several other shows like it & will update the thread as needed but if there's a website where I can get this info. myself, it would be appreciated if someone would point me to it. :)

Cheers & 73 to all the Hams amongst us :D

Pat

According to the Book "Same Time, Same Station" by Ron Lackmann Betty and Bob was sponsored by Wheaties cereal, Gold Medal Flour, and Bisquick. Theme was " Salute d'Amour". I guess you have the list of actors?
I do see that your asking for the time of 1947 and for some reason his time period for the program is from 1932 to 1941 so those sponsors above may not help. Although I see he says that David Owens directed the show in the 40's which were the most popular years, so why he only shows two years I am not clear.
