Greetings to all!!,
I have been haunted by a Radio drama since I was a teenager. It was sometime between 1974 - 1977, and on our way to a Christmas Eve service, an old (?) radio drama was playing on the car radio. I am unsure of when the actual release date of the episode took place.
I remember pulling into the parking lot, and the story was at a point where there was some astronauts who had landed on a planet....,
as they were climbing over a hill during the investigation of the area, they noticed that they had actually landed back on Earth....., but had gone back in time, and one of the astronauts says that they are witnessing the crucifixion of Christ.
That's when my dad turned of the car.
I don't know what radio show it was...., X Minus One, Suspense, Ray Bradbury Theater, The Inner Sanctum, Dimension X, or perhaps one I don't know, or can't think of.
I have tried going through the individual episodes, but have had no luck.
If this sounds familiar to you, or you know what radio show it was, and what the name of the episode is...., I sure would greatly appreciate the information.
I have been DYING to know for over 30 years, how that story ended! lol
Thanks for taking the time to read this, and be well!

Where were you at the time of the broadcast? Is there any possibility you were picking up a Canadian station?
The Canadian Broadcasting Corp. was broadcasting many fine radio dramas during the period you mention. But they don't seem to be nearly as well collected, documented, and available as the U.S. programs. This may possibly be due to the CBC maintaining strict copyright protection of their material.
I lived in Detroit back then and often picked up Canadian stations, mostly Toronto, and remember quite a few excellent dramas that I've never heard of again. At the time though, I wasn't paying attention to the series title. "Vanishing Point" and "Nightfall" were two series that had a lot of sci-fi episodes, but they were broadcast in the early 80's, and I don't recall the story you mention. I haven't listened to them all though.

I am far from being an OTR expert, but that story line doesn't ring a bell with any show I can recall. You might want to ask over at this forum: http://mysteryshows.com/OTR/index.php
