I looked all over and can't find it. I did the search too and nothing comes up.

Not OTRCAT (a great company btw), but some are available here : https://archive.org/details/TheShadow_29

I took my "Bold Venture" and "Johnny Dollar" from the archive and they were crystal clear ... almost flawless.

Dadsotr.com has three CD volumes of The Shadow. I have around 400 CD's full of OTR programs, most from Doug.

Here are a few more. Many sites have removed many/most of the Shadow shows.

Right click to download.

Thanks, i also found some here.

I bought a set off ebay, 220 episodes and just listened to the first one. When they were encoding it, it put skips in the file. :( I hope they're not all like this.

Wow, the ones on this site are pretty nice. The ones on the set i bought all sound like they're recorded off a record. Not something i like since it wouldn't have sounded that way when originally broadcast i assume. They were live weren't they?

Just about all these shows WERE recorded off a record, as that's the only means they had of recording at the time. Yes, most shows were live, but records were made at the request of sponsors, or in many cases for rebroadcast via AFRS. Postwar, several programs were recorded in a studio and pressings sent to radio stations, but most big shows were still done live.

I've got The Shadow from OTRCAT, but several years ago. I think it's around 250 episodes, about a third of the 750 total programs. Apparently the rest didn't survive.

I believe there is a copyright holder that's rattling a sabre, causing many of these places to pull their libraries. If you have them, hang onto them.
