Funny coincidence, I just started listening to it yesterday. I'm not sure what to make of it yet, honestly. It's not like any radio show I've listened to before.

It is considered by many as their all time favorite show maybe because it was on the air in the middle of all the soap operas. There is still an active fan club even though the show has been off the air more than 50 years. It was Jean Shepard's favorite show so that says something to me. This was the unique comedy writing of that genius Paul Rhymer who really didn't write much else.
Either you get it or you don't!

Yeah, I don't. To me it's just stupid and annoying. "Peanuts with chocolate smeared on the outside", "telephone's ringing, telephone's ringing!"

I'm a dog person actually. Sorry, I didn't mean to hijack your thread since you were looking for fellow fans but it's a show I've always disliked intensely. I used to listen to "When Radio Was" hosted by Stan Freeberg. He was a big fan of V&S and aired it frequently on the program. I tried several times to find something endearing about it, but just couldn't. The appeal of V&S is lost on me. They just natter on about nothing in particular in an exaggerated manner with their silly voices and accents making sure to spout a catch phase now and then. To me, the whole thing is just pointless and not even mildly amusing.

One of the all time best radio shows ever!

Too bad there are so few surviving episodes.

Vic and Sade was a unique radio creation. Thank you Paul Rhymer!
