Les;<BR>Join the group, I've been trying to find old fights for ayear, they just don't seem to exsist. I know they recorded them because you can see the NBC mic in many old films.<BR>A side note, I remeber listening the that fight on my first tube radio LIVE.<BR>I would love to have those fights, but nothing to trade for.<BR>DAN<P>------------------<BR>

Les,<BR>I have an original copy of the Clay-Liston fight from Feb. 25, 1964 but I'd have to search to find it and I couldn't guarantee the quality of the recording. I recorded it from WXYZ radio in Detroit on a real low grade reel to reel tape. If you want I'll search for it check it and if it's worth copying I will put a copy on a CD for you.<BR>Denny <P>------------------<BR>

Les,<BR>I found the tape...I listened to the last song Lee Alan "on the Horn" played by the Beetles and the beginning with Howard Cossell and it sounded pretty good. It wasn't a very long fight so hopefully the rest of the recording is at least as good. I'll check it out later today. Les,<BR>I don't want anything for the recording except that you enjoy and get a kick out of it and possibly some of the other members of the ARF. I'm recording it into the computer as I write this. I recorded the fight with a microphone because I just bought a new stereo console at the time and it didn't have provisions for tape out. If you have REAL AUDIO I can give you a sample of the quality of the recording. Let me know and I'll email you a sample of the recording.
