Hi All
I need some #216 miniature bayonet bulbs. A box of ten would be great, but I'll settle for fewer.

Thanks
John

Yes, like that but without the ridiculous price attached!

Is the current required critical?

I have many 12-14V T-3-3/4 lamps.

Thanks DG, but it's # 216 that I'm looking for at a reasonable price.

The 1488 has a rating of 14 volts at .15 amp; could this work for you?

John,

Some common equivalents are types 1815, 1889, 1891. These are readily available as "Made in USA" NOS and might well get you through the night. Check their specs against the 216's.

If you absolutely INSIST on 216s, then go to http://www.pacificlamp.com/products.asp ... &PageNo=24 .

I speculate that at $0.67 each they well might be Chinese imports of unknown quality, using rice paste and fishhead glue or whatever for the base cement. My experience with Chinese lamps, even offshored American brands (GE, Sylvania automotive) is quite bad, and I go out of my way to get genuine NOS American (or European) bulbs. They seem to last longer and don't fall apart.

That said, Pacific Lamp is a Sylvania distributor, and Sylvania did sell 216s... The question is whether their 216 offering is Sylvania from Emporium, PA or from somewhere in Guangdong Province.

You can find Pacific Lamp and Supply Co. at 5935 4th Ave S. Seattle WA, 98108 - Call (206) 767 5334, and maybe, ask what flavor their 216s are.

Please let us know if they are US Sylvania or Chinese Sylvania or something else.

Best of luck in brightening your day.
