I need to know how to go about getting a I.F. transformer for my GE 522F Clock Radio.

I simply can not locate one? Can anyone steer me in the right direction

It has an IF frequency of 455kc, so I would think you would be able to replace it with any IF can having a frequency of 455kc. Don't quote me on that, let's see what others say, but I don't see why it wouldn't work. I don't know if you have the schematic, but the links below.

Yes 455khz I.F., not transistor style, but one that would be size compatible to a 12be6 mixer tube.

Also try old radio swap meets, where you could find some of the universal replacement units.

I've "hot wired" a I.F. transformer from a junker radio to a radio I rapaired and it worked fine. You can also replace the mica capacitors inside if the bad I.F. transformer has the silver mica disease.
