Forum rules

The following requirements must be followed when advertising personal antique radio / TV / audio / phono items (such as discussed in the forums here) for sale in the classifieds forum::

  • Titles must START with : FS (for sale) or WTB (want to buy) or Trade or Free at the beginning of the title..
  • FS posts must have an "asking" price and offers may be sent by PM. Are you parting something out? ... price each major part (not things like screws and nuts)
  • There must be a location somewhere in the ad or the members profile (City & State or Zip Code are the minimum requirement).
  • Ads are limited to two per day, and may not be bumped sooner than 7 days after the last post to the thread.
  • No outside sales links are allowed other than to pictures of actual items being sold. No links allowed to eBay, Craigslist etc.
  • This is NOT a discussion forum. If you're not buying or supplying or suggesting a relevant solution, don't post - send a Private Message. Comments on pricing will be deleted.
  • First to post to an item for sale stating "I WILL TAKE IT" it is first in line. Subsequent claims will be followed in the order they are posted. Claims to "Take it" can be conditional on unknowns such as shipping costs.
  • Any "PM sent" posts without posting a reason for the PM will be deleted as they are meaningless to anyone else reading the thread.
  • Once a deal is made, edit the title to say so and the thread will be locked

If your thread or post disappears - read the rules again - no warnings or explanations will be given when threads or posts are deleted.

More thinning of the herd: Part 4

RCA Radiola 3: I bought this off ebay several years ago and added a pair of Bill turner's WD11 substitutes that use the 5676 tubes. I never got around to doing anything else so this is totally untested and unmolested. $80 SOLD

Bowers T-53: This is an interesting set and seems to be quite rare. I got this one off the bay several years ago and have only seen one other since. I could not find any service info on this anywhere. Bowers was a car battery company. I found an old Bowers battery price list flyer which I will incude. This has a permeability tuner. It's restored and plays fine. BTW, the one and only Bowers on Radioattic is this one. $40 SOLD

Tom Thumb Portable: Missing the handle. Totally untested and unmolested. $40 SOLD

Airline portable: Totally untested and unmolested. $10 SOLD

Hammarlund CB-212: Tube CB transceiver with Turner microphone. No power cord so this is untested. I did find a plug that fits the power input jack so you can make your own. $15

Still available:

FADA P130 multiband portable: Bakelite, restored and plays great with one exception. There is a bad contact in the bandswitch that I was not able to find and fix without removing it which I don't want to do. One of the shortwave bands, don't remember which, does not play. The signal for that band reaches the bandswitch but does not out from it. The other 2 bands play as they should. The knobs are not original. It's a neat looking set though! $30

1947 Motorola 67F11 Radio/Phono: Another casualty of lousy packing! As you can see this will need someone good at repairing bakelite. With my shaky hands that ain't me. I haven't tested this but the original seller had said that it powered on, received a station and the phono turned. Take that for what it's worth. I have all the pieces I could salvage from the box. This is large and heavy so shipping won't be cheap. Sam's Photofact will be included. The parts should be worth my asking price. $10

If you want it PM me your address and I'll let you know the shipping. I prefer Paypal but money orders and cash are never refused.

I'm interested in the Tom Thumb and Airline Portable. Will you ship to Canada? If not I can make other arrangements but I will PM the details.
