I have an 84B that I just got. I am not interested in restoring what is left of the cabinet so I have the speaker.
According to Terry from our Phorum it will b a good replacement.

Hey,
I found another speaker today. It was a replacement for an 84 speaker that had no cone. Someone bought the radio for the cabinet only so the speaker is up for grabs. Clean and no cone damage minus one tiny poke someone repaired.

Thank you Kirk
Just now seeing this post, been ill
I'll check the schematic for an "84"
As I have stated here many times before I am no expert when it comes to this
How well does it match electrically?
Have you by chance put a meter on the coil and the transformer?
If so, what are the numbers?
Thank you again
Craig

Craig, I have a Philco speaker of the size you want from either a model 60 or model 89. Either had the single type 42 output tube type transformer which will match what you need, but the field coils on these are 1140 ohm vs yours was 1700 ohm. Either will probably work still for your situation. Email me for ship info and price.
