How do i figure out the values of dog bone resistors?Do the colors indicate the same values as the color bands on newer resistors?
Nick

Unless they are very old, or Atwater Kent resistors, they follow a BED color code.
Body color, End color, Dot color. In that order.
Use the same color code as you would for banded resistors.

New question. How do i figure out the values of these resistors?(i think their resistors) Attachment:

They all have one black end and 2 wide bands of the same color with a different color in the middel.None of the resistance readings i'm getting from them match up with resistor color codes though. Nick

Body=Blue (6). End=Black (0). Dot(band) = Orange (000)
60k.

There has been discussion of those resistors here from time to time; they are read the same as the "dogbone" types, except that the dot is usually replaced by a color band in the middle. However, some very early versions did use a dot.
They are the insulated "BT" type made by IRC, and are often found in equipment from the 1935-42 era. Philco, Crosley, and Scott used them heavily, but they turn up in other makes as well.
