hi all
i may have this in the incorrect spot, if so move it to whereever needed
what i am wondering is if there is any diffrence in the japan made 6kd6 sweep tubes versus the domestic 6kd6 tubes. the imports have a green band around the base and were made for variouse companys such as realistic and several other companies.
somewhere i remember reading that the yaesu ham brand transmitters using these sweep tubes could be modified to use domestic versions. my memory could be wrong on this thou

in any event i thought if somone here had experience with the diffrent sweep tubes and there diffrences here maybe they could shed some light on this for me

thanks in advance

Buck- see my posting down in the Radio Classifieds forum where you are asking for a couple of them. I have always been under the impression that the green band only meant that they were lower capacity tubes that were developed for some of the ham transmitter manufacturers who had problems neutralizing standard tubes, as the range of adjustment was not large enough to include standard tubes.

In other words, they were RF rated, instead of just being rated for color televisions.
