anyway to sub this have a lot other 6 pins and perhaps use a couple of germaniums as the detectors/or should a 85 be easy to buy?
this is the last tube i need on a delco radio

You can buy an 85 for less than $10, and there's plenty of them. You could replace the internal diodes with silicons but not the triode of the 85. Just buy you a new tube.

85s are cheap and easy to get. For testing you could try a 75 but it will provide too much gain in the first audio stage and you may get some squealing. Or it may work fine. If you have one, all you can do is try it.
