I have an RCA combo tv stereo from 1968 I picked up. The radio has a 4 section paper electrolitic cap that needs replaced. I cant find replacements for 2 of the sections. The values are 1500mfd 35 volt and 1000mfd 35 volt. The closest thing I can find are 500mfd at 50 volts. I would have to use 5 caps to replace 2. Does anyone know where I can get caps closer to those values without having to use so many caps? Thanks,John.

Mouser has 1000 and 2200 in Nichicon axial lead and there are more choices in radial.

1500 is not a common value. 1800 is a common value. Use that. Mouser has a ton at under $2.

Yes, Mouser does carry those values at very good prices. I would certainly check there. Shipping is rather speedy too.

What brands are under $2 ? I looked last night and saw some for around $7.50. The old multisetion has 2 negative leads. Why is that? Also does mouser carry grommets for record changers? John

There are many choices in radial leads, axial are obsolete and being slowly phased out so choices are decreasing.
