I just got an EICO 360 FM/Sweep generator. The RF output has an older cable connector that is not BNC. Does anyone know what the connector designation is?

75-PC1M was made by Amphenol.

I think there is still a Switchcraft equivalent. Post your needs on Classifieds in this forum.

Rich

PS: yes, Switchcraft still has this series:

It's called 2501F

As the product listing says, it's a standard microphone connector, used by the gillions.

If you have any kind of electronic parts store locally, they should have it.

You might want to buy several, as lots of vintage test equipment used these.

As you see, the price for those ancient Mic connectors is crazy. A BNC will fit perfectly in the same hole and is MUCH cheaper, plus you can get pre-built test leads if you want.

Possibly the worst audio connector ever made. the shield braid somehow had to be soldered to the
end cord protection spring, and the whole mess pushed down the barrel with hopes that the center
bare wire, yet to be soldered was stripped properly to poke through the solder-blob contact.

Assuming the grubscrew made good contact with the soldered spring, and assuming
the the securing ring made good contact with the bulkhead connector for ground and the
second wire mike conductor you would get sound.

Many a pastor mouthed, or thought evil when the mike also used one of these at the end and
started humming mid-sermon..

In the interest of moving forward and given that no store [physically] visited had a 2501F I am going to solder a short wire to the existing connector on the front panel AND have ordered on-line a female panel mount BNC.
