Hi gang,

I have a damaged 4AX tube in my current project, a late 30s silvertone 7 tube tombstone radio, cant find model no., that needs replacement. I cant find any information on this tube online, does anyone here have any information on where I can get a suitable replacement?

Thanks,
Nick

What are other tube numbers in your radio? We might be able to find a model number here? 4AX isn't a standard number. Might be a date code?

Fill in as much information as known.

Is the 4AX on the base, if so it is a Sears numbering code? The number of the tube will be on the glass envelope.

4AX must be the mfg code and not tube type. Check the tube layout diagram and see what goes in the socket.
