Locating some of the parts will be a new challenge for this 'old recluse' particularly in a country where I do not speak the language. I'm somewhat new to this 'computer dominated world' and am still trying to figure this little beast out. I deeply miss the simpler days when one could take a few scraps of wire, safety pin, and a razor blade and tune in some of the world around you. Makes one wish that 'Tesla' and 'Marconi' were still alive.
If you run across some more of these wonderful 'old jewels' please feel free to pass them on to me. They will help in some of the research that I am doing to help better the lives for other handicapped/disabled individuals.
From what I can recall, the Xtal Set that I was looking for may have been in 'Popular Electronics' also. The young lad that had that Xtal Set in Sacramento, CA mentioned something about it being in PE or a like periodical. Memories after 50+ years become a little muddy, LOL. I'm really not sure how to go about researching that information today, to old and too vast. The only 'Key' I have that is permanently burnt in my somewhat photographic mind are the numbers on the coils, 242a and EL55 (No Manufacture Name).
At the moment I am trying to find some used and desperately needed electronic test equipment. I had to leave my test equipment behind in the States; it just simply wasn't compatible with European power requirements. No small chore in my case but I have faith.
