Anyone know of another source for 8 (7, or 5) conductor cotton covered wire wrapped in woven braid for 1920's radio battery supplies?

I was happy with the stuff from AES, but sometime since my last order (a long time ago) they changed the insulator thickness. It has grown from a total diameter of about 3/8 to nearly 3/4 of an inch now. The new stuff (S-W711) is so thick it's hard to manage and impossible to fit into a jones plug because it's so fat. Are there other sources for the woven stuff? AES's individual 20 gauge cotton wire used to be the same as stuff so I assume it now also comes with the thick insulator. I called AES and the people I talked to (Mark and some guy in returns) didn't know what I was talking about so it was pretty much a useless call. After paying shipping both ways it's not worth doing a return. Thanks --Matt
