Regarding paper in oil, they are great "audio" caps; as are film. Regarding the marketing hype, "no loss whatsoever in the bass frequencies" is, in my opinion, a bit of bologna. Perhaps it depends upon your definition of "bass frequencies." Good capacitors just do not pass DC. As they approach low frequencies, their impedance goes up. Period.
It would, theoretically, take an "infinite" value of capacitance to have "no loss whatsoever in the bass frequencies."

However, the price, ~$4.05/each after shipping, isn't as radical as some places and the caps are very good for audio.

That's my opinion, anyway.

Once a day on and off when you are home will help. I assume total recap was done as well.

I've got the same coupling caps in my re-capped Fisher 400. One exception the ones shown on your Ebay link are +-20% tolerance, the caps I used +-10%.

Something seems just so wrong, using Soviet era capacitors in a classic American receiver that was made during the height of the Cold War.

If the Soviets had won the cold war it is doubtful that these caps would ever see the light of day in the West. Besides I don't think they know that they're Russian. :)

Nyet. If you need a source of current manufacturers of proven reilability, please ask. Any caps 30 or more years old are probably no good no matter who made them.
