Pat Boone (back in the 60s when he was big with April Love, Love Letters in the Sand, etc.) Wife saw the Beatles. She had older cousins and I did not. Saw Rolling Stones Aerosmith Who U2 - first concert in US when they were the the U2's and many times afterwards Bruce Joe Walsh/Fleetwood Mac which was probably the best concert I ever saw in 1977 Johnny and Edgar Winter multiple times Metalica a few times back to 1983 and Metalica and Guns and Roses Monsters of rock which was Van Halen and a bunch of bands. So many Lalapalooza and Lolita concerts Andreas Segovia Dave Brubeck Jethro Tull Led Zeppelin Joe Pass I should look through my scrapbook, I have seen hundreds of concerts and being there live is the real deal. BTW, Patsy Cline rocks. Liberace?

Neali, you've really seen a lot of good artists. Course you live up there where most of these artists and groups perform daily, so you can take your pick. I saw Liberace when I was in college... he put on a performance in my university's concert series. It was a free concert.

I've lived a sheltered life.
1968 The Association - New York, they sounded exactly like their records. 2004 The Moody Blues - Detroit, a bunch of white haired old guys that sounded exactly like their records. The best time I had in years.
That is it, only two.

Frank Zappa The Rolling Stones Tina Turner The Buddy Rich Big Band Frank Foster and Frank Wess with the Carnegie Hall Jazz Ensemble Earl Wild Alfred Brendel Nadja Salerno-Sonnenberg Marvin Hamlisch New Jersey Symphony Orch (numerous times)
And many more.
When they place that Steinway 9 foot grand piano center stage at Carnegie Hall the sound is amazing. No P.A. system needed. There is no finer concert hall in north America.

Gollee, you guys have seen some good acts. I'm not much for big crowds and high prices but:
Peter, Paul and Mary (I was just a kid) Kingston Trio (see above) Stevie Nicks (pretty good - wife bitched the whole time) Jimmy Buffet (pretty ok) Juan Luis Guerra y 4-40 (excellent if you like Latin music) Bachman Turner Overdrive (2nd generation - bar scene) Leon Russell (see above) Allman Bros - well almost (my crew got thrown out so we had to listen from outside) Alabama x 2 (first time was great, second time was a bust) Dave Clark Five and Mitch Ryder and the Detroit Wheels (DC5 was a yawner, Mitch and the Wheels were great)
