Don't feel bad, I've only seen TSO and that was just a couple Christmases ago. :P

The New Christy Minstrels with Barry McGuire was my first concert.
The Beatles in '65 was second.

Two I didn't particularly care for, but keeping a girl happy.... Elton John and John Denver.
I used to like Judy Collins, but left her concert early. Most boring show I've seen.

Johnny Cash and June Carter w/ Carl Perkins opening.
Gordon Lightfoot
Rolling Stones
Leo Kottke
Leon Redbone
John Sebastian
Amboy Dukes
Chuck Berry
Jerry Lee Lewis
Small Faces w/Rod Stewart
Deep Purple
Matthew's Sothern Comfort
Chambers Brothers
Linda Ronstadt
Jackson Browne
Christopher Parkening
Sharon Isbin
Carlos Montoya
Louis Armstrong
Peter Tosh
Castaways
Sha Na Na
James Taylor
Ten Years After
Albert Collins
Fabulous Thunderbirds (Jimmie Vaughan era)
Willie Murphy
Koerner, Ray and Glover (various solo and combos)
Middle Spunk Creek Boys
Dakota Dave Hull and Peter Ostroushko
New Vaudeville Band (Bo De Oh Doh)

I vaguely remember Buffy Sainte-Marie and Brownsville Station from my first big festival at Stevens Point, Wisc. in 1970 Unfortunately I was introduced to acid that day and after five tabs was on an astral plane. I might have seen Iggy Pop. It was groovy watching some bike gangs have a shootout and the crowd swarming over their Harleys, smashing them up and setting them on fire.

A great series of summer concerts were staged on an old riverboat in the Mississippi at the U of M. We camped on the banks. They would start Friday evening and go until Sunday afternoon. Mostly coffeehouse circuit folkies.

The absolute best was in a tiny basement room of William's Pub called the Banjo Room about 1980. The promotion was screwed up and the audience consisted of my brother and I, a young couple and two drunk guys arguing loudly. The great Steve Young (Seven Bridges Road, Rock Salt and Nails) was alone on a stool. After we threw the drunks out, Steve played and talked with us for about three hours.

My you have led a sheltered life. :D With all those RCAs you had, you probably didn't feel the need to see these artists in person.

Wow, I'm amazed at all the concerts you guys have seen. This thread is bringing out folks who don't normally post in the Phonographs Forum. 8)

Now I see why...mods have moved it to the Clubhouse. :x

I have attended concerts by:

Kim Sarena
Kim Yun Cha
Cho Mi Mi
Min Hae Kyong
Molly Hatcher
And many others I can’t recall offhand. If you haven’t seen the first four, you don’t know what you’re missing.

Too many to list accurately. I don't remember several. But I know that I'd been there. Got the T shirt. 8)
Grateful Dead audio was atrocious and I can hardly listen to them now. Nugent is crazy. Pink Floyd three times. I remember them intimately! What a show. Fantastic audio wherever you sat. Smoked a pipe w/Patti Smith. REO Speedwagon blew off air raid sirens in Three Rivers Stadium. That was just perverse, our bones actually hurt from the sound pressure. Loudest actual band was probably Blue Oyster Cult. They set up acoustic standing waves in the three venues that I've seen them in. My buddy was a roadie for AC/DC. Now he's a Mennonite. His pendulum swung to the other side!
Best concert? Pink Floyd, each time. Best guitar? I never got to see Zappa, so, I'd probably have to say Junior Brown. Craziest thing I ever saw (onstage) at a concert? Ted Nugent showing off some of his gun collection onstage in Billy Bob's. Black Sabbath, Rolling Stones, Johnny Winter, John Prine, Jimmy Buffet, Eric Burden, Doobie Brothers, Emerson, Lake & Palmer, Scorpions, Rush, Van Halen, Jethro Tull, Joe Cocker, Tina Turner, Frankie Vali (sp?), Charlie Daniels, Aerosmith before they hit the stadium scene, Chris Whitley, the list could go on and on.
It has been a pretty full life.
My mom filled in on the banjo for Pete Seeger but her favorite instrument is the fiddle. She plays mountain music. I've had some very good times watching her play too.

Bob Hope? I've seen him too, but he did a live monologue of jokes at a business event I attended.

Here Come the Mummies earlier this year. Fantastic!! Group of very talented musicians playing together. Gee what a concept? Supposedly they are under contract with other bands so the mummy wraps are a way to be incognito and be within contract. Supposedly several Grammy's amongst them. The meet and greet after the show they stayed in character and talked in a series of grunts, growls and moans.

Saw The Moody Blues here two weeks ago. Your right, they sounded just like the albums. The 70+ year old drummer did a solo that blew the house away.

Did sound for way too many to list in 70s/80s. (half I don't even remember at this point)
Here's a few:
The Police
David Bromberg
Molly Hatchet
Dixie Dregs
Henry Paul Band
George Thorogood
Gordon Lightfoot
Pat Benatar
Aztec Two-Step
and about 300 or so more.

Seen in concert - way too many to list.

Wow, some of the folks here have been prolific concert go'ers

I'll double space to make it look bigger :D

This year:
Various symphonies.

Bill Cosby.

Long ago:
Rolling Stones (thrice IIRC, clouded by bong resin)

Eagles.

U2.

Pink Floyd.

Wings.

Doobie Brothers.

Jimi Hendrix.

And a handful of "B" list venues experienced on LSD.
