You can tell me it's ugly!! I know it is and I don't care either - it was a 10 minute sketch!

I have a mediocre collection of clocks, some advertising clocks. I like art deco. I like the font on the face of your clock.

I think you should have rounded the coroners a bit. Also a speaker might be a good thing. Unless it is behind the clock. Other than that i think it is the most beautiful thing i have ever seen

Hold the presses ! Nick's design would make a very nice E-Meter.

Nick's first design vaguely reminded me of an Air King:

Third draft. This is where I get sad because I don't know if it's finished or it sucks...

I like both designs Nick.

Is the first example intended to be built from wood with metal accents, or would they be inlays?

At twelve after twelve, the hour hand needs moved a little to the right.

Funny story from college... it's the "theoretical designer's clock". The hour hand only moves on the hour, but the minute hand moves normally. It is done in drawings and models to get a crisper, cleaner look and to speed up the drawing/drafting process. Of course, there are ways around it, like actually making it 1:00, 2:00, 3:00 etc, but designers like exceptions to the rule.

Try using the the same grey and white striped patten that you used behind the controls for the clock face instead of just white.

Also make the lettering under the knobs white and place below instead of on top .

Also maybe use peep hole style station viewer instead of the large half moon dial which takes away , at least to me , from your over all design . (like on a Westinghouse Model H126 )
