Some mystery author wrote up another review on a sub-200 dolla sdr that covers 1KHz to 2000MHz;

Pulling in Cuba at 6.000 MHz tonight, 01:15 UTC. Fading in and out but hitting 29dB above S9. The longer I listen the better it seems to get. Had to engage the ANL to make it understandable though, quite staticy (if that's a word). Using my Yaesu FRG-7000 on a 75' longwire with a 50' leadin.

As of 3/16/17 Voice of America's daybreak Africa segment of US and World News still fairly reporting events in my judgement. I have been monitoring several times a week since news reports of a change to "state controlled media". You can't be sure of anything these days, although the report(s) loosely align with changes that are factual. You can look this up easily enough for yourselves. So far, the reports seem fair and independent , possibly not a priority or maybe not even true.
Generally Sinpo 33333 more or less sometimes overrun from the severely deteriorated 6090 $cott Station, hopefully will completely fail soon

The 500 to 600z from Pinheira is buried by Voice of Turkey English with a usually strong and clear S7.
The Pinheira tx can be heard usually with a much weaker signal, my qth , from 600z to 700z , but the news segment is a repeat of course

Last weekend on 6935 according to my analog dial, late evening, a station playing some oldies comedy song about a Martian, then would transmit an SSTV pic of something Martian related, play a couple songs and then repeat. It was a weak signal barely above my noise level at times.

It looks like I did a good job of aligning my radio. My guess of 6935 was almost perfect. I forgot to tune in last night. I ended up watching a Saturday night monster movie. Do you run a SSTV decoder program on your computer?

I had an SSTV decoder on I phone , but the battery died . New phone but I haven't downloaded a new app yet. Just hold the phone to the speaker. The version I had was kind of quirky and I lost a bunch, but worked most of the time. The ones from the pc sound card appear to have much better resolution .I don't even own a PC!
